| 中文描述 | 小於六月齡的小馬其得蛔蟲在移行期會導致呼吸疾病的症狀,但全身性不舒服不會出現,其肺部的X光也是正常.即使年齡較大的小馬暴露在充斥游離蛔蟲的環境裡,然而全身性病徵也是有可能會出現的.腸緊縮或破裂是不普遍的,但可以被在剛斷奶又有嚴重的馬副蛔蟲加重負擔的小馬裡發生,時常發現後用驅蟲劑治療.大量蛔蟲會阻塞小腸.胃逆流也許會包含著蛔蟲上來.蛔蟲在膽管已經被提及有可能導致馬的黃膽.這寄生蟲有10-13週的潛伏期. |

| 英文描述 | In foals less than 6 months of age the migratory phase of Ascarid infection can cause signs of respiratory disease but systemic illness is not present and radiographs of the lungs are normal. If older foals are raised in an ascarid-free environment then exposed systemic signs might occur. Intestinal impaction or rupture is uncommon but can be encountered in weanling foals with heavy PARASCARIS EQUORUM burdens, often following treatment with an anthelmintic. Masses of ascarids can obstruct the small intestine. Gastric reflux might contain ascarids. Ascarids in the bile duct have been mentioned as a possible cause of icterus in horses. This parasite has a prepatent period of 10-13 weeks. |
